When travelling with a Partner Airline via a connecting flight, you will usually be required to self-transfer your bags from the baggage reclaim area and then use the bag drop before boarding your connecting flight.
This process can differ depending on the airline and location but you’ll be instructed to do so when you land if this is the case. The following link will display a list of current Airline Partners: Is-the-Bag-Check-In-service-available-on-all-flights-
Connecting flights Departing from Manchester AirPort via London are not currently supported by the collection and check-In service.
Codeshares or Connecting Flights; via the USA and South Africa
When travelling through the USA / S.Africa, due to local customs regulations, you will always need to collect your luggage from the carousel (at the transit airport). Then self-transfer using the baggage drop or check-in desk to ensure your bags travel with you. (Unless otherwise advised by airline staff).
