How the Departure Service Works

Airportr’s Departure Service allows you to travel to the airport luggage-free by collecting your bags from your home, hotel, or office and checking them in directly with your airline. This guide outlines the full process from booking to airport arrival.

1. Book the Departure Service

To schedule a luggage collection:

• Visit airportr.com.

• Select the Departure Service option.

• Enter your flight and address details.

• Choose a collection time slot and complete payment.

You will receive a booking confirmation email containing all relevant instructions and documents.

2. Complete Online Airline Check-In

Before your Airportr collection:

• Complete online check-in with your airline.

• Obtain boarding passes for all travelling passengers.

• Ensure you can present boarding passes (printed or digital) to the driver upon collection.

Airportr cannot check in bags without confirmed boarding passes.

3. Prepare for Collection

Ahead of your scheduled collection:

• Pack your luggage in accordance with your airline’s baggage policy.

• Ensure each item does not exceed 32kg (unless otherwise permitted by your airline).

• Have all passengers present at the collection address with valid ID (passport or identity card).

Bags must be ready and accessible at the agreed collection time.

4. Complete the Collection Process

At the time of collection:

• A uniformed, vetted Airportr driver will arrive within your selected time window.

• The driver will:

  • Verify passenger IDs and boarding passes.

  • Seal and tag each piece of luggage.

  • Provide you with a digital receipt and tracking link via email or SMS.

You can track your bags in real-time throughout the handling and check-in process.

5. Understand Bag Check-In and Tracking

After collection:

• Your bags are securely transported to the airport.

• Airportr checks them in directly with your airline under your booking details.

• You will receive notification once your bags have been successfully checked in.

Bags must comply with airline restrictions and security regulations at all times.

6. Travel to the Airport Hands-Free

With your bags safely checked in:

• Proceed directly to airport security on arrival.

• No need to visit the airline check-in desks or bag drop counters.

• Enjoy a quicker, more relaxed journey through the airport.

7. Know Important Service Conditions

• Collections must occur within the service area and timeframe selected.

• Cancellations or modifications should be made before the stated cut-off times to avoid penalties.

• Airline baggage allowances, including weight and size limits, still apply when using the Departure Service.

Failure to comply with these requirements could result in baggage being rejected at collection or at the airport.
