BUGGIES, CAR SEATS, OTHER CHILDREN’S ITEMS
Most airlines will allow passengers traveling with children to check-in items such as pushchairs or car seats for free. It is your responsibility to check your individual airline’s policy on this.
Please note that whilst your airline may check-in these items free-of-charge, Airportr considers these as normal items of baggage, and must they be included in the number of bags on your booking.
Please clearly mark and identify these items to the driver upon collection so that they can be pointed out to the airline at check-in. If you need to use your buggy or stroller whilst at the airport, we advise you not to hand these items to Airportr, as we will not be able to hand them back to you prior to checking them in.
WHEELCHAIRS AND ELECTRIC MOBILITY AIDS
We can collect and check-in wheelchairs for passengers with reduced mobility, though it is your responsibility to check your individual airline’s policy on this.
If you intend to travel with a power-operated or electric mobility aid, you will need to let your airline know prior to booking our service - as there are complex safety regulations relating to the check-in of these items. Every airline will have different requirements relating to the handling of batteries, so it is essential you speak to your airline to ensure you fully understand their requirements.
If your mobility aid is battery-operated, the power must be disconnected and isolated before handing it over to our driver.
Whilst we can check-in oversized items, it is essential you check in advance that your airline will accept your items for check-in. (e.g. maximum weight allowed as passenger hold / check-in baggage = 32kgs).
In the event that we collect oversized items from you that your airline subsequently doesn’t accept for check-in, you will be liable for repatriation fees to reflect the cost of us returning these items to you.
We can collect bicycles, but you'll need to make sure you've booked it with your airline first. You may be asked to present proof of this during collection and if you can't, we may not be able to collect your bicycle. We cannot accept e-bikes.
TRAVELLING WITH PETS
Unfortunately we're not able to service bookings if you're travelling with a pet. This is because you need to go to the airport to get your boarding pass and are not able to check in online.
