Passengers travelling to Frankfurt Airport (FRA) via Deutsche Bahn (DB) may be eligible for subsidised pricing on Airportr services. If you qualify, discounted prices start from as little as CHF 39.
Who Is Eligible?
You may be eligible for this subsidised rate if:
- You are flying with Lufthansa
- Your collection address is within a supported area — including cities such as Mannheim, Cologne, and Bonn. Eligibility is confirmed during booking.
- You are travelling to Frankfurt Airport by DB train (ICE or IC)
To qualify, you must hold a valid Deutsche Bahn train boarding pass for the same day as your luggage collection.
Note: Children under 15 are exempt from DB boarding pass checks.
How to Book at the Discounted Rate
- Begin your booking on the Airportr website.
- When you enter a collection address in an eligible zone, you’ll see a message: “You may qualify for a discount.”
- If travelling by DB train (ICE or IC), tick the box confirming your travel method.
- The discount will be automatically applied to your booking.
What to Show the Driver
On the day of your collection, passengers aged 15 and over must show proof of a valid DB train ticket, boarding pass or booking confirmation. Accepted forms of proof include:
- A printed or digital DB train boarding pass, or
- A DB booking confirmation email showing the correct date of travel
The driver will take a photo of your boarding pass for verification. This photo will not include any personal details or address information.
💡 Reminder: You’ll still need to present your passport and boarding pass to the driver during collection. For more details, please see our article on passenger ID checks.
What If You Don’t Have a Valid DB Ticket?
If you are unable to provide a valid DB ticket at the time of collection:
- Your bags will still be collected as scheduled.
- You will be charged the standard price (excluding the DB discount).
Our Customer Support team will send you a secure payment link to pay the remaining balance.
